About
Coast Wildand Founder Benjamin R. Eichorn is a Tree Risk Assessment Qualified ("TRAQ") Certified Arborist (ISA #WE-15536A), Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist (NFPA) and an approved Consulting Arborist in Monterey County, CA. He has served as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT and Nonprofit Executive and has a background as an Organic Farmer, Author and K-12 Educator. Ben grew up tending the land his parents homesteaded along the Big Sur Coast in the early 1980s. His love of the land and experiences during the 2008 Basin Complex and 2016 Soberanes Fires prompted him to found Coast Wildland with the intention of helping his community become more safe and resilient in the face of storms and wildfires of increasing frequency and intensity.
